Septic Tank Cleaning at AQS
If you own a septic tank you should know how to take proper care of it because if not properly maintained, solids from your tank may back up into your toilets, sinks and baths. It is important that you have a routine septic tank clean done every 3 to 5 years depending on the size of your family. The average family of 4 should have their septic tank cleaning done at 4 year intervals, (on average). The actual timeframe that is recommended for your particular family can be determined by a professional who will be able to advise how often you should have your septic tank pumped after inspecting the conditions during a routine cleaning appointment.
You should be careful when choosing who you hire to perform your tank cleaning as they should have the correct certification, and have the right knowledge and experience to provide a successful cleaning experience.
At AQS Environmental Solutions we have more than 12 years experience and can provide our customers with the knowledge and tools they will need to keep their septic tank in great condition and working properly for them for years to come.

World Day for Safety and Health at Work – 28 April ’11
The 2011 World Day for Safety and Health at Work focuses on the implementation of an Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) as a tool for continual improvement in the prevention of workplace incidents and accidents.
An OSHMS is a preventive method to implement safety and health measures which consists of four steps and incorporates the principle of continual improvement. Its principles are based on the PDCA Cycle: PLAN, DO, CHECK, ACT. Its purpose is to establish a comprehensive and structured mechanism for joint action of management and workers in the implementation of safety and health measures. OSHMS can be an effective tool for the management of hazards specific to a given industry, process or organisation.

Removal of Material at Base of Rainwater Retention Pond
AQS recently removed material at the base of a rainwater retention pond. The works was carried out with the aid of an AQS combined suction and jetting unit. This unit removed all sludge at the base of the pond and also washed the floor and sides accordingly with jetting water.

Removal of Debris from the floor of a FW Reservoir- at a depth of 3 meters
Introduction
Many systems do not want to take reservoirs/tanks out of service to do inspections and cleanings. A potable water dive crew can inspect and clean a facility with no disruption and very little water loss compared to draining the tank. Bacteria and other contaminates that may have been using the sediment as a safe habitat to grow are removed, allowing the treatment chemicals to effectively do their job.
