Problem: Culvert Blocked
Methodology: The site was assessed by one of our team, a method statement and risk assessment was drawn up for this job. The culvert on the motorway was completely blocked. Water was unable to pass through the foul and storm lines due to a vast amount of stone, grit and materials.
In order to carry out these works with no disruption to traffic we decided to enter the culvert by confined space entry with our high powered suction and blowing DISAB vacuum excavation unit. The debris was collect with the DISAB unit and the material was removed to a sealed skip on site. This skip was disposed at an authorised disposal facility.
Result: Culvert was fully cleaned with no distruption to the public. Please see images below.
